1. I’m not sure exactly the direction this is supposed to take the story, but Konami has announced some new DLC for Metal Gear Rising Revengence that adds some VR missions as well as a new sword ([link]). I think this was supposed to tie up the confusion of what happens to Snake but who know? Either way, I might actually consider checking out this DLC, if only for some more Kojima Brand hijinks he’s so well known for.

  2. Yeah, the CD-i Zelda games were technically not Nintendo games, but they were officially licensed, and they were even looked over by officials from Nintendo. So it begs the question, how did these things get onto market? And yes, it’s understandable that these… “games” not be included in the Zelda art book, but when you think about it, they should technically be there. If they were officially licensed and approved by Nintendo, then they’re official parts of Zelda history, even if they’re a darker part of the history. And the whole point of cataloging history is so that we never forget, in hope that we don’t repeat past failures, right?

  3. So I found my Neo Geo Pocket Color, great system by the way, and having been bit by nostalgia I just had to play a few rounds of Metal Slug and such when suddenly I heard a comment of how it looked like some sort of knock of GameBoy! I mean, come on! For reals doods! Where do you think Nintendo got the idea for the Circle Pad on the 3DS? Okay, okay, though on a serious note, if you ever have a chance to play one of these things, take it up! And for those of you who do have one, cheers!

  4. I’ve been sitting on this one for a couple weeks, things got kinda hectic but I’m looking to now getting back into the swing of finishing comics regularly, unless the world ends and yadda yadda yadda, but alas I digress. If Halo 4 were smashed into an episode of Regular Show, some how this is how I feel this particular scene would go down. Enjoy!

  5. Sorry for the short hiatus on releasing this comic, lotsa life stuff kinda got in the way. But anywho, this came up with a discussion on the thought that when it comes to buying games there is an awkward trend among quite a few of us. There are those who buy a game because they know they want to play it and out of fear that it might be tough to find said game will purchase and add it to the already large stack of “games to play on a rainy day”. Then there are those who play through games as quickly as possible in the hopes that they’ll get a high trade in value for the next game they want to buy. Though I suppose when you look at it, either way is a legitimate strategy?

  6. After the distressing news we couldn’t think of a better topic of discussion than this. I mean, this is big, especially for nerds. And while I don’t think it will necessarily be some big ending of a national nerd treasure, there’s a good possibility that this thing could either be really good… or really bad. Only time will tell with this one, and it’s gonna be a long wait.

  7. I figured with Windows 8 releasing today and all the talk of backwards compatibility that this would be a good topic to touch upon. Dead formats and all the pain it causes gamers, oh the pain…

  9. Recently read that 343 Studios is following the trend Bungie started with not showing the Master Chief’s face, which personally I feel is a good thing. Not so much because I think it might be goofy looking, but more along the lines that the Master Chief already has such a mysterious epic nature built around him. Sorta the same idea of Link having a voice. By now it would just sound goofy and take away from the strong, stoic character that he shows. That and the book description always conjured up a such a goofy image that I always just preferred the gleam of a golden visor.

  10. I’ve picked Pokemon Black and White back up again when I realized that the second one was coming out and I actually haven’t finished the first one yet, and so I’m doing a little level grinding and had forgotten how much I love Audino, unfortunately I love them for all the wrong reasons, but they’re pretty dang awesome! SO MUCH EXP! But alas, this tends to sadden any fans of Audino while I’m around them, especially Lauren. I’m so sorry… I can’t help it… they’re just worth so much EXP!
